I find it very hard nowadays to take my mind of everything thats happening in the world and in my nearest environment - with new information about abuses within kabk walls and overall in lots of art institutions and lack of appropriate responses from people in power , with my government (back in Polonia) taking away women's right and me not being able to be there fight side by side with my sisters. With all that happening I forget to take care of myself, of my mental and physical health. Don't be passive towards abuses of any kind but also let your body and mind rest from time to time.
Look at a beautiful flower you found in the park, lay on your bed with feathers from your pillow( dont worry that they fall out of it) and/or lay on the table in your studio - whatever seems best for a you at the time.
From the beginning I intended to make those painting a part of an installation. I made a small wooden bed and its mattress, cushions and a duvet.
I made some experimental photos using a window frame I made and creating a domestic atmosphere.
Update : I am going to play around with maquetes of rooms - windows that you could look through to see bed and painting ( maybe used as wall) - This will create boundary but also invite to look through and see as much as the window allows.
I made a wall out of paintings, I made a wall with window from wood and created a small bedroom, house out of it - A SELF-CARE BUBBLE. I am going to make it more steady and professional, for now I still treat is as a maquete, I connected it with tape ( but Ill change that).
